I’m not sure any are “harder” but they’re all a bit different. Things like maths and physics need a lot of thinking about things that are really different to everyday so you need a lot of imagination to understand what you can never see. Others like chemistry and engineering need lots of work making and measuring things; and biology and subjects to do with living creatures are often so complicated you need to test things many times because every creature is different! Of course you can still do a bit of everything in every subject.

At school and university I found physics to be difficult for me because it involved a lot of maths and I struggle with that.

As Stuart said, they’re all a bit different. The different subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Maths etc.) are all difficult in different ways – I personally found Biology the most difficult at school! I think it depends on who you are, no one is great at everything.

Also, there are many different ways of doing science, personally I find doing experiments is easier than writing about what experiments I’ve been doing! But I know my friend is very good at writing and finds writing about the science very easy – the best thing is we’re all different!

I don’t think there is a hardest science. I know when I talk to some of my friends who do other sciences that I find their stuff hard to understand and they say the same about mine. One of them is doing a physics PhD and when he talks about his stuff (something to do with gravity) I pretty much just nod and smile because i’m completely lost even though i did a physics A-level

So its probably best to say the easiest science is the one that you find easiest and the hardest is which ever one you find hardest. I don’t really think there is an absolute scale for this
