Oxygen is produced by plants during photosynthesis, when they use CO2 and water (with the addition of sunlight) to produce oxygen and glucose. Bees, like most animals, use oxygen to breath. They have tiny little holes called spiracles which are on the side of their body that allow air to diffuse in and provide oxygen to their bodies.
