Our current understanding is that we have only identified our planet to have large bodies of water (seas and oceans) however, scientist are still looking to see if there are any other planets that have some form of water. Last month a planet known as K2-18b was discovered to have water in its atmosphere. This is very exciting as this planet maybe similar to ours but a lot more research needs to be done to confirm this.
This is very well answered by Caragh, one of the ways we look for new planets is by using a special telescope that tells us what type of heat a planet gives off. If it gives off a this heat in a certain way then we know it has water on it.
