• Question: How much bigger does your microscope make something look?

      So it depends on the microscope I’m using because they have different settings. I usually use a microscope that has 4 settings. 10x, 20x, 40x and 100x. I usually use the 20x setting for the work I’m doing at the moment so something that’s 1 millimeter would look like its 2 centimeters.

      Some microscopes can magnify to way more than that! There is a type of microscope called an electron microscope that can magnify something x2,000,000 which is a lot more than I need! They’re pretty expensive and you need a lot of training to use them so I don’t know if I’ll ever get to use one but being able to see things that close up is cool!
