• Question: Do you know how to get rid of rust?

      You basically have to rub it off. Rust is what happens when iron reacts with oxygen from the air. It is possible to turn the rust back into iron metal the same way we get iron metal from the ground; heating the iron oxide or rust with some charcoal. The problem is the shape will change so you can’t just ‘fix’ something that has rusted.

      You can also protect different metals against rusting. There is a process called galvanising were you coat steel with zinc. You can also paint some metals with a good acrylic paint. Oil or grease will help reduce rusting n iron. Preventing rust is the best way to avoid having to try to get rid of it
