      In some cases yes! For example, you can use glass bottles instead of plastic bottles. However, most of the time plastic is the best material for the job – such as in paints.

      We want to try and stop making plastics out of fossil fuels and try to use natural sources instead, such as plants. Unfortunately, they can only be used to replace normal plastics sometimes (such as the plastic used to protect things sent in the post) and we need to research how to change their properties to make them useful for other types of uses, such as in paint.
